Sellyze.ai ("Sellyze", "we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered Amazon product analysis service operated at sellyze.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, application, Chrome Extension, and API (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address and name (provided during sign-up via Clerk authentication)
  • Subscription plan and billing status (managed by Stripe)

Usage Data

  • ASINs you submit for analysis
  • Analysis results generated for your account
  • Monthly usage counts (analyses run, credits consumed)
  • IP address and browser type for rate limiting and security

Chrome Extension Data

  • Extension install ID (anonymous UUID generated locally for rate limiting)
  • ASINs of Amazon product pages where you trigger a quick-score analysis
  • Cached scores and recent score history (stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage)
  • Authentication token (Clerk user ID, stored locally if you sign in)

The Chrome Extension does not collect your browsing history, Amazon account credentials, or any data from pages other than Amazon product pages where you explicitly interact with the extension.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • Amazon seller account credentials or API tokens
  • Credit card numbers (Stripe handles all payment processing)
  • General browsing history outside of ASINs you submit
  • Third-party advertising identifiers or tracking pixels

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide AI-powered product analysis on the ASINs you submit
  • To cache analysis results so repeat lookups are instant
  • To enforce plan limits, rate limiting, and billing
  • To send transactional emails (billing receipts, plan changes, service updates)
  • To improve the accuracy and performance of our analysis pipeline
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data only with services required to operate Sellyze. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

  • Clerk— authentication and session management (email, name)
  • Stripe— payment processing and subscription management (billing data)
  • RapidAPI— Amazon product data retrieval (ASINs only, no account data)
  • DataForSEO— keyword ranking data (ASINs only)
  • OpenRouter / Anthropic— AI analysis processing (review text from public Amazon listings, no personal data)
  • Neon— database hosting (encrypted at rest, US East region)
  • Upstash— Redis caching (encrypted, US East region)
  • Vercel— website hosting and deployment
  • Fly.io— pipeline service hosting
  • Sentry— error monitoring (anonymized error reports)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Neon Postgres (AWS US East) and Upstash Redis for caching. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit via TLS. Authentication is handled by Clerk with industry-standard security practices.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account
  • Analysis results are retained while your account is active
  • Cached mini-scores (Chrome Extension) expire after 48 hours
  • Rate limit counters reset daily at UTC midnight
  • Upon account deletion, your personal data and analysis history are permanently deleted within 30 days

7. Cookies

Sellyze uses essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session cookies) and functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies that identify you personally.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
  • Withdraw consent at any time

Sellyze is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
