Common Customer Complaints
Sellyze identified 13 distinct pain points from customer reviews. The 6 most prevalent issues are listed below.
1. Multi-Device Connectivity
Product Defect · Minor · 0.2% of buyers
Bluetooth connection drops or stutters when multiple devices are connected simultaneously, requiring manual restart to restore connection.
"when you have multiple devices connected (I only connect my laptop and my phone), the connection has intervals of interruption"
"Sometimes, they will tweak out (despite keeping up with updates) and just drop the connection all together which require me to turn em off and on"
2. Power Management
Missing Feature · Minor · 0.2% of buyers
Headphones lack automatic power-off after inactivity, draining battery completely if user forgets to manually turn them off.
"there is no automatic powering off if you leave the headphones out of use for an extended period of time. It will just drain that battery until the headphones are dead"
"I've now accidentally left my headphones on three times, and even though it is my fault, I've been pretty bummed that my headphones are totally dead when I pull them out again"
3. Battery Life
Product Defect · Moderate · 0.5% of buyers
Battery life of ~24 hours requires frequent charging compared to competitors offering 30+ hours, inconvenient for multi-day trips.
"My previous headphones went for weeks of sporadic, casual listening without me needing to charge them, but these Bose headphones need fairly regular charging"
"It will last a long airplane trip but you'll need to charge it pretty soon after that or else you're going to be sans-headphones for at least part of the flight home"
4. Build Quality
Product Defect · Minor · 0.2% of buyers
Super lightweight plastic construction feels fragile and prone to damage during transport or rough handling.
"The BOSE QC are super lightweight plastic (which makes them almost fragile, so keep them in the provided case while commuting)"
5. Noise Cancellation Performance
Product Defect · Moderate · 0.5% of buyers
Noise cancellation is good but not 100% effective, especially with quiet audio content, allowing some ambient noise through.
"the noise canceling is good, but not 100% if you're listening to something quiet"
"both the Sony XM5's and the Sonos Aces are a touch better at cancelling most noise"
6. Sound Quality
Product Defect · Minor · 0.2% of buyers
Some songs sound muddled or lack clarity, particularly in complex musical passages with overlapping frequencies.
"some songs feel a lil muddled in the sound, but that's me being very nitpicky"
"The sound is pretty good, I would rate it a 4.5 out of 5 some songs feel a lil muddled in the sound"
